Rodolfo Walsh Trial: Astiz menaced to denounce the district attorney that investigates him
marzo 8 (ANCLA) - Former marine Alfredo Astiz declared to the federal judge Sergio Torres that he didn’t participate of Rodolfo Walsh’s kidnapping March of 1977, 25 made by a tasks force of the ESMA, and hesn’t stop there: he a complete copy from the investigation to the judge to denounce the fiscal Eduardo Taiano and all the judicial officials that investigate it. The criminal, with extradition order from France, Germany, Sweden, Italy and Spain, said that he wants to denounce the district attorney of the trial for the journalist’s disappearance and militant montonero Rodolfo Walsh for the crimes of nonfulfilment of public official’s duties, abuse of power, prevarication, and illegitimate privation of the freedom".
Cynic Astiz’s argument is that he cannot be judged for illegal privation of the freedom of Walsh because the writer is dead, but not missing (Rodolfo Walsh’s body was seen by last time at the ESMA and to 30 years it is not known where it is), being based on judge Servini’s de Cubría arguments for another cause in which declared Walsh as “dead”, like ANCLA advanced that it will be the strategy of the defense.
But Astiz didn’t stop there: he requested the intervention of the National Institute Against Discrimination (INADI) so that it intervenes because Astiz considered himself discriminated, since next to all the torturing of the Dictatorship 1976-1983 it is judged by crimes against the humanity, and the former marine argues that it is an error to compare to the Jews and the holocaust happened among 1939-1945 and working illegal of terrorists as Montoneros against who the Dictatorship prepared the biggest repressive apparatus in the Argentinean history.
