Germany hard presses the Argentina so that it reaches an agreement with the IMF before negotiating with the Club of Paris
marzo 21 (ANCLA) - (Buenos Aires) The Ministry of Finances of Germany affirmed that Argentina should arrive first to an agreement with the IMF before to continue the negotiations with the Club of Paris, on the restructuring of the debt that Argentina maintains with the group. Germany and United States are two of the strongest shareholders in the Club of Paris and Argentina maintains a debt of 6.3 trillion dollars that the Argentinean president, Néstor Kirchner, announced at the beginning of April that has the intention of canceling this year. "The negotiations on this topic will take place under the usual rules of the Club of Paris: this is, not outside of the confines of the IMF", a spokesman of the Ministry of Finances of Germany said. In Buenos Aires, they affirm that the negotiations will be with the Club of Paris and not with the IMF.
